About Us

Level UP Enrichment is dedicated to helping students discover and connect with what they are passionate about. As a collaboration of top-quality enrichment providers, we provide a diverse catalog of programs and classes so students can explore various activities as they grow, under the mentorship of our instructors, into outstanding young adults.

A Day on the Job

Our programs take place around 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm for a 1.5-hour class, making it an ideal job for morning workers, night workers, and students. Instructors travel to an assigned school/s and teach one of our programs for an hour and a half. Programs we provide include:

  • Project-based STEM and Math classes

  • Tennis & Basketball

  • Magic & Illusions

  • Escape Room

  • Chess

  • Video-creation, such as Lego Animation and YouTube

  • Art

  • and many more to come!

Our programs run in many corners of San Diego, meaning our instructors get to teach at schools close to home, college, or wherever. (If there isn't a conveniently located school, we reimburse for gas). Lessons are pre-written and materials are provided. The only thing we ask our instructors to bring is passion!

Overview of Roles

Level 1 Instructor, $22/hr: supports our Level 2 Instructors in various programs. They assist the Level 2 Instructor with the logistics of the day (taking role, preparing materials, etc.), redirects the class attention to the Level 2, and provides one-on-one support when needed.

Level 2 Instructor, $24/hr: leads the class through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and exciting projects while maintaining a safe and productive environment. Most of our Level 2s start as Level 1s!

Level 3 Instructor, $26/hr: an outstanding Lead Instructor who can train our up-and-coming Level 1s and Level 2s.

Individual and group training is continuously provided to all instructors to ensure a deep understanding of the lessons and classroom management. Two performance reviews are conducted each year to check instructor progress and to offer a raise of up to $2/hr for each review.

YOUR IMPACT

Did you know that after-school enrichment courses can significantly improve academic achievement, behavioral outcomes, social and emotional learning, physical health, and resilience and well-being?

As after-school enrichment instructors, you help students discover and develop interests outside of the regular academic curriculum. You build confidence, enhance motivation, and foster lifelong skills.

A research paper by Dennehy and Noam (2005) pointed out that positive adult role models in after-school programs can contribute significantly to students' academic and social development! Part of an after-school program's quality is linked to the instructor’s teaching skill, experience, and training, which positively correlates with improved academic outcomes and social development (Vandell et al., 2007).

As an instructor with Level UP Enrichment, you will be trained on how to deliver higher-quality programs and be equipped to manage classroom dynamics effectively. We believe that everyone who has the passion for it, along with our in-class training, can become an amazing teacher. You have the ability to inspire the next generation!
